The Celebrity Traitors UK Season 2, Ep #2 Recap and Reaction - How does one dig oneself out of a hole?
It's the last supper for someone, but who's it going to be?

*Contains spoilers*

It's the following morning. Everyone is filing in to the breakfast room, happy to be alive. Ross hasn't been killed, as he thought he was going to be, which now has people suspicious that he was recruited instead. There are just 3 left to turn up. Bella, James and Amol. The cars have arrived.

Cut to the previous night.
Amol gets his casket lid slammed shut. Game over for Amol.
Thank fuck!!!! James is safe! But he's gutted to be a faithful. And he's worried because Richard is a bloody loose canon.
Back in the castle. Everyones getting into pairs for an activity. Julie has vowed to avenge Amol. She pairs up with Seb and they start discussing the possible recruitment. James wanders past at that moment and Julie straight up asks him, "were you recruited last night James?". He stops. "Hmmm?". "Because I would recruit you. You're the super traitor hunter". James says something along the lines of, "Yeah, I mean, yeah that makes sense". Shit, James is not happy in the lying traitor role.

"James looks exhausted" observes Jerry to Rob and Romesh. I don't know if they're taking that onboard. They seem more interested in making fun of her accent.
Maya is putting the work in, planting seeds about her suspicions about Ross Kemp.
Rob, Joanne and Joe are talking about who the traitor is. Joe says he wants people to entertain the idea that it is, in fact, Richard. Joanne says she doesn't think he's a traitor. Rob points out that a fellow traitor would stick up for him. Joanne looks a bit worried.

Challenge #2 And they're off to the Graveyard!
The pairs are told to get into the graves, where they are to be buried. Then the twist, one person has been saved, by the traitors. They can choose to dig out teams to help them find the treasure or they can choose to leave everyone in the graves. Anyone left in the graves goes up for elimination that evening. It turns out Ross has been saved - a smart move by the traitors as it has thrown even more suspicion on him. But they can dwell on the decision in the graves, time to get buried! As the dirt starts to fall Jerry panics and shouts the safe word, "Haggis!". Unfortunately, asking to be let out means that she, and her partner, Hannah, are automatically up for elimination. Ross and his partner, Romesh start digging immediately, their plan is to save everyone first, and then go for the money. It's a smart move on Ross' part because him saving everyone that he can seems like a faithful move, rather than a traitor move. Or does it? Since Jerry has got herself and Hannah put up for elimination he wouldn't need to put more people up for elimination. Ohhh, it's so tricky. Everyone is out, with a few minutes to spare. They manage to get 3000 pounds for the prizepool. In Mayas car on the way back to the castle are Hannah, Joe, and Myha'la. Joe asks Hannah who she suspects (since she might be going home tonight). Hannah says she suspects Leigh-ann might be a traitor because she saw her applying makeup at the end of the night when they were going back to their hotels. Of the two up for elimination I think Jerry is seen as the weaker player, which is why Hannah will probably be eliminated this evening. Luckily for her Kenny hasn't mentioned her suspicions about Maya to any of the traitors.
Time for the round table. Where everyone gets to discuss who they think is the traitor. "Traitors, the floor is yours", says Claudia.
"Julie are you a traitor?" Kenny asks her. Almost out of nowhere. They discuss the shields and how easily they came to her. "But we gave her the shields", pointed out Joanna. Oh, Joanna sticking up for Julie? Interesting. Could the shields be naming the two that had to go up for recruitment? suggests Bella.
Julie says she is here to vote for Richard, based on the fact that he said he was a traitor. Joanna tries to stick up for Richard again saying he's being used by the actual traitors as the fall guy and decoy. Miranda points out that he was elated upon taking off the blindfolds, and that was befor he made the, "I'm the traitor" blunder and the "I was so disappointed" excuse. Ahh Ms Marple, you have hit the nail on the head. Richard is asked who he suspects and names Joe, based on the ratio of comedians to everyone else in the game (unwittingly throwing James A under the bus), Bella, based on the placing of the hat on Ross' head, and, Julie based on hugging people. Seb asks Richard to defend himself. He tries to say he said it was "wish fulfillment" saying he was a traitor when asked. Joanne again sticks up for him, "no-ones going to choose him!", and she brings up the makeup theory of Hannahs to Leigh-Ann. James B points out that murdering Amol was to get rid of the lesser of two dangers. And that he thinks they have recruited Hannah, who he believes was probably the most dangerous of players for them. Oh dear, curse of the brainiacs strikes early. This is very interesting. Because now, if they get rid of Hannah tonight it will disproove his theory. They would do better to keep her in and murder Jerry. And thus everyone would be suspicious of Hannah and any slight suspicions of Maya by whoever Hannah told, eg, Kenny/sebastian would be alleviated. Hannah says she would have loved to be recruited (hear that Traitors? Something to consider seeing as you may have to shortly bid farewell to Richard). She also points out that voting off Amol and picking Ross to be safe are the two most obvious options of a traitor or traitors who aren't comfortable, aren't sure of themselves, or strategic, or bluffing or double bluffing. Richard looks hurt at this comment as he realizes that he hasn't played the best game.
"Perhaps, the sort of people who, when they're told they're a traitor say, 'I'm a traitor'", points out Joe. I mean, he didn't need to point that out. But he guess he wanted to send the point home for anyone that wasn't sure.
"I think Richard, you've given us all a problem", Romesh adds, "because by doing that it was a big mistake by you. I feel like you forced our hand is the honest truth of it". Rob points out that feeling hopeful so fast after a disappointment like that isn't natural. Myha'la adds that she had come into the game expecting to be a traitor but when it hadn't gone her way she had to rethink. I'm not sure if she was trying to stick up for Richard or not but he's a sinking ship at this point and anyone seen sticking up for him is under suspicion. Bella points out that both Myha'la and Richard say nearly the same things about wanting to be a traitor, which leads her to believe that maybe they both are. Maya sees that sticking up for him at this point is going to throw suspicion on her so she says, "Richard, obviously we all love you clearly" [her precursor apology for what she's going to say next] "I've just been thinking,he's a bit whacky, he's a bit woo woo, you've been dancing around the place saying loads of crazy things" (awww, his face, he looks really hurt and like he wants to say, 'you aren't supposed to say this' - but really, he has brought this on himself). Interestingly James looks interested at her comment too. I wonder if he's thinking, "thank god, she's cutting the dead weight loose" or "ahhhh, so she isn't to be trusted in this traitor alliance".
Mycah'la makes one last attempt to save Richard,"He spends all his time being embarrassed about his actions. I genuinely think he hasn't thought about it becuase he's been wracking his brains about how he can still get in the turret",
"So he's not thinking about who he would put on the slate tonight?" asks Julie in response to Mycah'la.
"It's too obvious!", cries Joanne.
Oh dear. If Richard does get voted out tonight then Joanne and Mycah'la are going to be prime suspects 2 and 3.
Unfortunately we aren't going to find out what happens until the next episode.
Gah! The suspense!
